Executive Director, Ben Slade has been involved with the St. Simons Land Trust since its inception. He served as founding chairman and has chaired various committees including the Committee to Preserve the Old Stables. Ben served as Chairman and CEO of First Federal Savings Bank of Brunswick until his retirement in 1999. He has been involved in community activities throughout his career in Brunswick and Glynn County. He was founding chair of Habitat for Humanity of Glynn. He is past President of the Chamber of Commerce, the Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Georgia, Keep Glynn Clean and Beautiful Committee among other community activities. Ben is a member and Senior Warden of Christ Church, Episcopal on St. Simons. He and his wife, Sylvia have four children and eleven grandchildren.

Director of Development Dana Pope has 15 years of real estate experience, including owning her own company whose niche was working with corporate sponsors for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. Prior to joining the Land Trust in 2006, she served as Director of Advancement at Frederica Academy, an independent college-preparatory school. She has been a resident of St. Simons since 1996.
Susan Crowley joined the Land Trust in 2008 and is Membership Director. Susan holds a B.S. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  A St. Simons resident since 2005, she was formerly an account manager for a custom furniture manufacturing company in the Baltimore-D.C. area. Before joining the Land Trust, she was employed by the Sea Island Company.

Sue Tuttle joined the Land Trust in January 2011. Sue is Finance and Stewardship Manager. She is from Connecticut and moved to the Golden Isles in 2005 at which time she opened a full service bookkeeping company. Sue enjoys spending her free time outdoors and at her home on the Satilla River.

Marty Moody is Assistrative Support and works with Social Media and Website Management.

Jeff Brittain is Membership Assistant and graduated from Georgia College in 2011 with a BS in Environmental Science and joined the Land Trust in 2012. As an outdoor enthusiast his interests include cycling, running, and promoting environmental conservation, preservation, and education.
