Less than 15% of your donation will go to Land Trust operations, the rest will be put directly in the ground for conservation. Members receive a Land Trust decal, invitations to special events, and the opportunity to volunteer for special projects. Those who join at our leadership Live Oak Society levels will also receive an invitation to our annual Spring reception.

In order to assure that we receive and properly acknowledge your stock gift, please take the following steps.
Step 1: Contact Your Broker
Ask your stockbroker or brokerage firm to make a direct electronic transfer of the stock certificates to St. Simons Land Trust account. Please call us for account information 912.638.5401.
Step 2: Contact Us
In order to properly acknowledge your gift, please notify us as soon as your transfer instructions have been given to your broker. This is important because your broker will not necessarily notify us and our broker will not know the originating source of the donation.
When you contact us please provide us with the name of the security or securities being transferred, the number of shares to be donated, and the name and phone number of your broker. Thank you for your support of the St. Simons Land Trust.

This $25 million project to permanently protect and open to the public over 600 acres on the north end of St. Simons Island is extremely important to all of Georgia. To date, the Land Trust has raised $19.5 million from lead donors, foundations and the broader community toward this goal. We hope to complete this fundraising effort by early Spring. See the Cannon’s Point video on the left margin of this page for details on the project, how it will be used for the betterment of the community and the tremendous conservation and cultural value the land holds. It is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity for all of us to preserve one of the last large tracts of untouched land on the coast.
