Support the Campaign to Preserve the Old Stables Corner

With your help, the Land Trust will protect this property of scenic, historic and sentimental value in our community. The Old Stables corner and its grove of 49 live oaks are under imminent threat of being significantly impacted by two commercial building sites. Renew your Membership, or Purchase a Membership Gift for a Friend

Please join us in protecting the natural and scenic character of St. Simons Island and its quality of life. Less than 15% of your donation will go to Land Trust operations, the rest will be put directly in the ground for conservation. Members receive a Land Trust decal, invitations to special events, and the opportunity to volunteer for special projects. Those who join at our leadership Live Oak Society levels will also receive an invitation to our annual Spring reception.

Make a Gift to the Frederica Park and Trails Initiative. Naming Opportunities are available from $850.

This $4.5 million project of park, playfield, botanical trail and five miles of new bike path was accomplished with only $250,000 in county funds. The Land Trust seeks an additional $300,000 to complete this project.

Make a Gift of Stock

Gifts of appreciated stock are an easy and beneficial way to make a donation to support SSLT. You receive credit for the full market value of the gift, and you avoid capital-gains tax on that stock. In order to assure that we received and properly acknowledge your stock gift, please follow the following steps.

Step 1: Contact Your Broker
Ask your stockbroker or brokerage firm to make a direct electronic transfer of the stock certificates to St. Simons Land Trust account. Please call us for account information 912.638.5401.

Step 2: Contact Us
In order to properly acknowledge your gift please notify us as soon as your transfer instructions have been given to your broker. This is important because your broker will not necessarily notify us and our broker will not know the originating source of the donation.

When you contact us please provide us with the name of the security or securities being transferred, the number of shares to be donated, and the name and phone number of your broker. Thank you for your support of the St. Simons Land Trust.
